Lines and connections
Route numbers and official destination names remain in Portuguese so they match displays, signs and operator information.
Quick glossary: TI means integrated terminal, Estação means station and Linha means line; Linha Sul is the South Line and Linha Centro is the Central Line.- Metrô Linha Sul · Estação Aeroporto
- Táxi comum 24 h
- Táxi especial 24 h
When to use this hub
Flights, Boa Viagem connections and car-free access on the South Line.
How to use it
Follow signs across the footbridge to Aeroporto station. For taxis, use the official ranks in arrivals.
What to confirm before travelling
Lines, platforms, intervals and accessibility can change. Check the official channel on the day and leave extra time for important connections.
A journey without surprises
A short plan from checking service status to finding the correct platform, without promises that may expire before you travel.
- 01
Confirm today’s service
Before leaving, open the operator source in the evidence block and confirm the service shown under its official Portuguese label “Metrô Linha Sul · Estação Aeroporto”. An old screenshot or saved timetable does not prove today’s operation.
- 02
Save the reference point
Save “Recife International Airport”, Praça Ministro Salgado Filho, s/n, and the approximate map point. For a taxi or meeting point, give the facility and address rather than only the Imbiribeira district; the marker does not guarantee a particular entrance.
- 03
Check the direction
At the display and platform, check route number, final destination and direction. The official Portuguese label “TI Aeroporto” indicates a possible connection, not a promise of the same platform or no walking.
- 04
Leave a buffer
Allow time for queues, finding the correct sector and walking. For an important connection, save a fallback and do not plan around the minimum interval.
Accessibility, children and luggage
Confirm the whole chain: drop-off, pavement, entrance, gate, platform, transfer, toilet and how to request help. One accessibility symbol does not prove the entire journey. For a flight, request assistance separately from the airline or airport and confirm the meeting point; city transport does not guarantee support inside the terminal.
Tickets, payment and a fallback plan
This profile deliberately omits fares that are not confirmed by a current official source. Before travelling, confirm price, payment method, concessions and whether a second ticket is needed with the operator; never send PIX to an informal intermediary.
Check the operating time of every leg, not only the first departure. If the connection is critical, save an official taxi or ride app, charge your phone and keep funds for an alternative journey.
Map reference point
The marker is a checked reference point for the transport facility, not a guarantee of the exact entrance, platform or drop-off. Open the route before travelling and confirm the correct side of the road.
