Getting a child to school

Build a request from a neighbourhood to a specific school and see what to verify before hiring. Seats, price and itinerary require direct confirmation: Recife has no stable public database of school-van routes today.

Four realistic options

School-referred provider

Ask which drivers use the pickup zone and which areas they already cover. A school referral does not replace CTTU verification.

Licensed school van

Routes usually combine families and schools. Confirm ride time, chaperone, backup vehicle and cancellation terms.

Public bus and VEM

For independent students. VEM Estudante offers discounted fares under Grande Recife rules but no child supervision.

Demand-led new route

Requests from one area can support a new route, but only after a licensed provider accepts it and documents are checked.

CTTU municipal credential

Recife requires municipal credentials and a current windscreen seal. The official page advertises a provider list, but its PDF is unavailable; confirm status with CTTU.
